MyID version 10 APL-approved for Federal agency procurement
Latest release of Intercede’s MyID introducing derived credentials and cloud capability is added to GSA’s Approved Product List
Reston, US – Leading digital identity expert Intercede today announced that its MyID v10 credential management software has achieved GSA FIPS 201 approval after passing all applicable tests. The solution has been added to the Government’s Approved Product List (APL), and is now available for procurement by Federal agencies looking for secure yet convenient identity and credential management for their employees, while meeting their HSPD-12 needs.
MyID v10 is the latest version of Intercede’s software to be approved since FIPS 201-2 ratification and incorporates derived credentials and cloud capabilities. It enables organizations to securely issue and manage trusted Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials on smart cards and mobile devices, increasing productivity while strengthening security.
New and improved features include support for writing iris biometric data to smart cards, enhanced multi-stage secure key recovery processes and biometric validity date checks.
MyID is compatible with existing smart card systems regardless of who issued the original credentials, and can simply be added on to existing deployments or run by a third party as a managed service.
Richard Parris, Intercede CEO, commented: “Intercede has been issuing PIV, PIV-I and CIV credentials to government and enterprise since 2006. The approval of MyID v10 demonstrates Intercede’s ongoing commitment to provide Federal agencies with market-leading FIPS 201 solutions that address their needs across smart cards, tablets and mobile, both on-premise and in the cloud.”
