Intercede shortlisted for PwC’s AIM Awards

Intercede shortlisted for PwC’s AIM Awards

Intercede recognised amongst most innovative and fastest growing companies on AIM’s growing businesses index

London, UK, October 7, 2014 – Leading digital identity specialist Intercede today announced it has been shortlisted for the prestigious Best Technology award in the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) annual AIM Awards.

The AIM index comprises start-up enterprises and smaller publicly listed companies, and the award will be presented at the gala dinner on Thursday October 9 at the Old Billingsgate in Thames Street. The event itself brings together executives from some of the top performing companies on the London Stock Exchange to recognise the most innovative and fastest growing firms listed on the AIM index.

“This recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team at Intercede to developing world-class cybersecurity technology,” said Richard Parris, CEO, Intercede. “Since our initial listing on AIM in 2001, we have grown into the leading UK software innovator and exporter in our sector, and to be recognised by the LSE as one of the best technology companies on the AIM index is hugely gratifying.”

Ian Restall, co-chair of the AIM Voting Panel commented; “The number of nominations for all the awards in this the 19th year of the AIM Awards reached record levels, none more so than in the Best Technology category. The Voting Panel were spoilt for choice with many excellent and emerging technologies to discuss and debate, and it was quite a difficult task for them to reduce the long list to a shortlist of four companies.

“What attracted the Voting Panel to Intercede was its ability to ‘punch above its weight’ in a highly competitive global market often dominated by larger and better funded US companies. This requires unparalleled performance in all aspects of its business including executive leadership, strategy, technology, sales and marketing, and commercial persistence. Intercede’s key product, MyID, is an identity and credential management system that has a market-leading position in government and aerospace and defence sectors. MyID allows companies to move beyond passwords, creating secure trusted identities on mobile, smart cards and devices, and, after years of R&D into the MyID product, FY14 delivered a step change in revenue and profitability,” Restall added.

“As the demand for enhanced online security measures continues to expand we are in an excellent position to further grow our customer base and bring increasingly innovative products to market. This shortlisting is great acknowledgement of our pivotal position within the cybersecurity space – one that we will be looking to build upon far into the future,” Parris finished.
