Enhanced Integration and Security Features in MyID MFA v5.0.8
Simplified SAML configuration for third-party applications
You can now import SAML metadata directly from your SAML Service Provider when setting up an application, making integration faster and simpler. Additionally, you have control to configure and map claims in your applications, streamlining setup and ensuring authentication and access policies meet your business needs.
Management of Duplicate Active Directory Domain Names
In a managed service provider environment, Active Directory domain names are sometimes not always unique. MyID MFA can now handle multiple networks having the same domain name. This update ensures that, even when different networks share identical domain names, MyID MFA can still differentiate users and devices across those domains. MyID MFA can now track each device with more accuracy, reducing the risk of mix-ups or errors when assigning devices or managing settings.
Configuration over Skipping the MFA login screen during a remote desktop connection.
The ability to filter out the MFA credential provider screen during a remote desktop connection gives you greater flexibility in managing authentication across both your local and remote systems. You now have enhanced control over when the MFA credential provider screen appears, allowing you to show it when it is appropriate and hide it when a different authentication method is being using (e.g. in a remote desktop situation) streamlining the access control user experience when working across multiple systems from the same workstation.
API Access for Reporting Failed Logins and Device Activity
The new API access provides detailed reports – for example, failed login attempts and a complete list of all devices. This allows you to easily track and monitor security events, helping you stay on top of potential issues and ensuring better visibility across your systems.
For those running a managed service environment the data is returned by tenant. Enabling customer specific reporting.
