Intercede’s MyTAM further secures Good Technology’s industry-leading container solution and suite of enterprise mobility apps for Android devices.

Lutterworth, UK – Cybersecurity expert Intercede today announced it is enabling the world’s first TEE-secured Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) suite for Android devices. This allows the 1,600 customer and partner applications which have been developed for use on the Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform to run in a much more secure environment on Android phones and tablets.

Intercede’s MyTAM service allows trusted applications to utilise the advanced level of security offered by the cryptographically-locked Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which is built into leading Android smartphones and tablets at the point of manufacture. The Trustonic TEE enables apps, the data secured on them, and transactions made by them to be protected from hacking and malware elsewhere on the device.

Adding TEE-strength security to a comprehensive suite of EMM applications further increases the security available to Android devices. Private and public sector enterprises and governments can now maintain the highest level of security available on the market.

This announcement highlights the latest high-profile use of Intercede’s MyTAM service following agreements with a number of app developers securing financial transactions and encrypted voice services.

Intercede CEO Richard Parris said: “As a leader in the enterprise and mobility management space, Good is the ideal customer for our MyTAM service. By working together Intercede will broaden its reach into this sector, with our MyTAM service deploying Good’s secure business-critical applications to its global client-base.”

Nicko van Someren, CTO of Good Technology, added: “Good’s TEE-secured offering combines our secure apps and container solution with MyTAM to quickly and easily make the highest level of Android security available to our customers. The scalability of the solution also opens up the service to our base of secured application developers producing innovative enterprise solutions for the Good Dynamics Platform.”

Intercede’s MyTAM service enables organisations – such as app developers, service providers, banks and media streaming companies – to load apps into the TEE, and runs on Intercede’s established market-leading security platform, which is already used by some of the world’s largest enterprises and public sector organisations. It provides a scalable and cost-effective solution for any size of deployment, from enterprise apps with thousands of users to consumer apps with millions.

About Intercede:

Intercede is a software and service company specialising in identity, credential management and secure mobility. Its solutions create a foundation of trust between connected people, devices and apps and combine expertise with innovation to provide world-class cybersecurity.

Intercede has been delivering solutions to high profile customers, from the US and UK governments to some of the world’s largest corporations, telecommunications providers and information technology firms, for over 20 years.

Intercede’s MyID software is an identity and credential management system that enables organisations to create and assign trusted digital identities to employees, citizens and machines and in turn allows secure access to services, facilities, information and networks. MyID adheres to international standards, while remaining simple enough to be deployed onto consumer devices such as smartphones, tablets and other devices in the Internet of Things.

In 2015 Intercede launched MyTAM; enabling trusted applications to be loaded into a mobile device’s Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), providing hardware-level security for Android apps. The cloud-based service provides a cost-effective and convenient way for developers and corporations to protect their apps and users’ sensitive data. Intercede partners with Trustonic to enable TEE services (www.trustonic.com).
